I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Iberia - Avery Island. Everything about my visit was gratifying from start to finish. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the entire property was very clean throughout our stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and our overall experience smooth and pleasant.
The location is a real plus, with easy access to the highway, making it convenient for getting around the area. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Iberia and would happily stay here again.

The staff were all amiable and helpful. Coffee was available without charge at all hours. Breakfast was simple but certainly adequate: nothing customized but a buffet including a modest variety of juices, (sugared) cereals, breads, pastries, yogurts, some fruit, pancakes, jams, some preparation of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy - and offered at an early hour in a bright dining area off the lobby. The air conditioning was more than adequate to the challenges of a late May heat wave.
I inadvertently booked an ada room so it was likely more spacious than otherwise - but inexplicably required an elevator ride and traversing a long hall for access. (Not a problem for me but, for disabled persons, not ideal.) The electronic window shade, set about 90% closed when we arrived, was immovable. (But the view was of the parking lot and highway so no great loss.) Upon first use, the TV could not get a signal; the front desk personnel came to the room to reset the input.) The telephone in the room did not work (desired only to call the front desk about the shade and the TV.) The flexible hose on the shower head leaked and sprayed water in all directions so keeping the bathroom floor dry was a challenge.
