Overall it was a quick short stay with family and friends that traveled from Germany for their annual vacation
Really nice and comfortable, especially since it was a really hot day in Texas 108 degrees.
Found a half eaten bar of candy next to a little round red pill, in a drawer on night stand. Did not give me a warm fuzzy for safety.

Disappointing
Breakfast was good. The surprise RESORT FEE of 45 per day is terrible.

Beautiful design, strong WiFi, big hot tub, but expensive and an inconvenient location with no car.
The staff were very welcoming and professional. The breakfast buffet had great options and was very good. WiFi was strong throughout the resort, pillows and bedding were comfortable. Layout of the resort was well done. The putting course was a nice addition and the hot tub is very big and really hot. A nice bonus after a long day.
I work in the hospitality and leisure field so I totally understand the rhyme and reason on why things are the way they are. I accept and understand some of the issues I am going to list. I guess if I did not pay what I did, I would not mention most of these. With that being said, for the amount the resort charges and an additional $20 a day resort fee per person, you would think the standards of service would be a bit higher. Okay, here we go....The A/C controls in the room resulted in the A/C running the entire time (you could turn it off, but it would get hot and humid quick) The room was humid due to not being able to open a window. The shower door had a leak somewhere and the water flooded the floor after a 5-10 minute shower. The water pressure on the 6th floor was weak and took longer to rinse soap off than expected. The resort staff acted a bit unprofessional when we asked how to coordinate a ride to the airport. They basically said "we don't do that" unless it is coordinated a few days out. They gave us a list of local drivers that charged us $175 for a one way trip for two people. It was very stressful trying to coordinate a ride last minute not knowing if we would make our flight. I guess it is partially our fault, but for a high end resort, I feel like if I were one of the higher status guests or complained, they would have been more helpful. They had multiple vehicles and staff willing to make the trip, but essentially they said they don't do that unless scheduled in advance. Prices of food was high which is understandable staying with the cost of goods, but the alcohol drinks were much higher than they should have been or needed to be. Hot dog and bag of chips was $13. When checking out, we were told by one staff member that we could use the pool and shower until we left, but the day before a staff member did not mention there was a locker room with showers we could use.

Exceptional
Wonderful resort for a long weekend getaway. Everything you need amd want to enjoy is right here. You won't have to get back in your car until you leave!
We have been coming here for over 10 years. The prices have gone sky high on everything from room costs to golf fees.

we stayed two nights, cost more than $1000, not so valuable
the location is good and the facilities are great
the AC condition is out of control and the temperature inside the room was super cold. the second room we charged was super noisy because the toilet kept linking all the time.
