The Maui Kai is well-located just north of Lanai facing a beautiful view of the ocean! Our one-bedroom suite was roomy with full kitchen, large living room, comfortable bedroom with king bed, and a great patio to take in the view of the surf and the star at night! Bonus - our apartment had a wonderful extra patio on the side with chaise lounges and a six-person dining set. The pool and hot tub were just refreshing and quiet! The groundskeepers have the flowers and tropical plantings looking beautiful! We enjoyed our stay at the Maui Kai!
The Maui Kau is older than the neighboring resort hotels. Apartments are being improved with some receiving new windows and doors. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return again.

We had a corner unit overlooking the ocean, so the view was spectacular. The location is also great with a nice beach right next to the condos. We kitchen was well stocked, and we had a very comfortable stay.
The pool was very small, and we were provided with a limited number of beach towels that we had to wash ourselves after each use, so that was not very convenient.

The location is excellent. Condo was nicely stocked. Staff was very nice, attentive.
The elevator! The first one was broken for some weeks waiting on parts to repair. The second one broke right after we checked in. No elevator for a 10 + story building! Especially bad with heavy luggage! It got fixed a day or two later.
The building really starts to show its age. Cracks in the facade outside. The condo was updated nicely but one wall in the kitchen was very wet and sheet rock soft. There was an unattended water leak behind the wall. Definitely been there for a while. Things like this need to be addressed. No mildew smell yet, but…

Really good location. We had a great view of the ocean and sunsets from our window.
One of the elevators was not running our entire stay. At times, both elevators were not running. The sliding window screens of our condo were difficult to move into place and should be replaced. . The building was definitely tired with no apparent upgrades. I didn’t use the pool, but after seeing some of the other pools in the area, there was nothing inviting about this one. The cement stairs down to the little beach were dangerously covered in sand from the surf and at times, difficult to use because of the tide/surf. I watched several people struggle with them as I did on one occasion.
