It reminded me of a retro motel I stayed in with my family when I was a child back in the 60’s.
The staff stayed for a late check in for us.
They offered a family room with bunk beds that the grandkids loved.
The bath tub was slow to drain and the toilet ran forever.
The east stairs were steep and not easy to navigate to get to the upper level.
The men who stayed there for work sat outside the rooms and smoked.
There was dog in the room next to the grandkids that barked a lot.

Good location and cheap
The room was dirty, there were used contacts on the cabinets. There was no shampoo, soap or body wash.
