Location was amazing and the staff was very nice

I know the hotel is getting a makeover and that’s exactly what it needs plus obviously a new menu. Let’s get some more vegan options and more green salads.

Very nice room, partial view of Lake Tahoe, small balcony with chairs and a table, and an A/C unit inside which helped cool the interior on a hot summer day. The A/C lowest speed was not as quiet as we had hoped, but it was better than opening our sliding door and hearing people outside until after 1am. The bathroom was large, big shower, and lots of storage space for our clothes, etc.

Location is amazing. Restaurant and bar has large deck with beautiful water views. Staff is friendly.

Lodge is very, very dated and in need of maintenance and renovation. Carpets are completely worn, wood is faded and in need of refinishing. The air conditioning in our room was not built in and was a portable standalone unit which was very loud and not efficient. Our stay included breakfast. Unfortunately, even though we were there before 9 am, the food and drinks were almost all empty and need of replacement (which never came). No coffee, orange juice, eggs, or lox. Lastly, upon checkout we were charged a resort fee and taxes for our stay. When we returned home we found these fees and taxes were already included in our booking and previously paid. I have requested a refund of these duplicate charges.
