Quality Inn & Suites Matthews - Charlotte

We really enjoyed our stay. We liked the hotel, the location, and the room. Everything was comfortable and convenient, and overall we had a very good experience.

The only issue was the room cleaning. On the second day of our stay, the trash in the room and bathroom was not taken out. We also noticed that hair on the bathroom floor after showering was not cleaned for two days. Other than that, everything was great.

Room was very nice and large. Bed was very soft, some people may like a firmer matress but it was Ok. Iron was an issue. Tried 2 and both leaked water, but managed to get around that issue. We had one of the interor rooms, but they also had several outside rooms that didnt really appear to us. Gym was Ok, just a treadmill, elliptical and some dumbbells, i just used the treadmill and ellitical for a quick workout and they were adequate enough, especially since it rained one day. Pool was clear and clear wirh just a little dirt along the bottom. Breakfast was pretty standard, however they didnt have any fresh fruit which would have been nice. Eggs, waffle maker, bagels yogurt and cereal l, again typical of most hotel in this price range/category. Would recommend for someone who dont need a whole lot of extras and for our 3 night stay it worked very well. Front desk staff to include Melissa, were awesome. Very friendly and courteous.

Long walk from our room to the front desk and seeing as we were on the first floor had to wither walk 1/2 way outsode or take elevator to 2nd floor and then walk the interior hallway and then doen a flight if stairs. Had 2 different ireons and both leaked water onto my clothes.

Very nice location. Staff is polite and respectful. Morning breakfast is great value.

The AC unit in the room (358) we were in didn’t work properly. Even after keeping it at 65 it was humid and never cool enough.
