A nice place to stay with a convenient location

The location- can walk to all the major spots and breakfast was good too!

Overall the stay was just ok. Prob won’t be staying here in the future

The breakfast was ok. The waffles were pretty good. I didn’t like that this one particular staff member was touching all the food with her bare hands. She should be wearing gloves. At one point she coughed in her hand and I’m not sure if she washed her hands after. But continued to fix the bread, bagels and danishes with her bare hands.

I didn’t like that that we were accused of smoking in our room. One night I received a note stating they were going to charge my room $250 dollars for smoking in it. The night before I was the one who went down to the front desk and complained that someone was smoking on the second floor. Someone went up there and sprayed something in the hallway instead of trying to figure out who was smoking. We did get it squared away the next morning but I wasn’t happy that I was accused of smoking when I don’t even smoke. It did ruin my night. I was really upset.

Great hotel to visit Stroudsburg and nearest Poconos entertainments

Visited this hotel the second time with the whole family so we knew what to expect. We like its location in Stroudsburg (it's in the quite place but at the same time it's in walking 5 min distance from the Main St where there are a lot of cafes and restaurants). It's also a good starting point for visiting Jim Thorpe to walk or indoor water parks (up to 30 min driving). Good breakfast and very friendly staff are there. Kids also very like the indoor pool which is an amazing alternative for bad weather.

It's clean enough, but because kids always crawl on the floor I would be glad to have it more clean.

The bugs (small roach type bugs and ants) in the bathroom—as many as 10 total one morning. I won’t stay there again.

Convenient to work and restaurants. Staff was friendly.

Pre Labor Day Stay

The room was very comfortable and quiet for the most part. Traveling solo, I expected more families would be checking in for Labor Day weekend, adding to the noise level in the hallway. I was very happy with the pool and fitness center. Also made use of the laundry facilities. The breakfast and the staff who prepared it did a very good job. Shout out to Miss Shinese (sp.), a very pleasant breakfast staff member. I would recommend this Hampton Inn.

It was ok for overnight stay but not for anything longer.

Location was great. Did not stay for breakfast. The young lady at check in and the young lady at check out were very nice and knowledgeable.

We were hungry and bought two waters and pretzels totaling $13. Definitely overpriced. There were many cigarette butts tossed around the property of the hotel. Unfortunately you can’t control guest who are disrespectful of property. The hotel could use some updating especially the halls and elevators as well as the lobby.

Decent hotel and great location.

It did what it needed to do. The AC was broken in the lobby. It was muggy and hot. Called to request additional towels have yet to get one. The hotel offers free breakfast and they ran out. The bed was just okay. The pillow were flat. Overall it did what it needed to do but it wasn’t worth the price I paid.

Check in was easy, the staff was very friendly. They do need to be trained on bookin.com bookings as I wound up being charged for our stay twice (once by booking a few weeks ago, and again by the hotel directly). They had options right at the front desk to purchase snacks and drinks as well as alcoholic beverages. The pool was open, although they need to up the chemicals and clean it more often, we went in around 9am it was pleasant but there there things sitting at the bottom that we kicked up swimming around and also the water got in our mouths a few times (standard swimming occurrence) and it tasted like dirty hot bath water. Keeping it under what I liked tho because I can still appreciate a warm swim in winter. Breakfast had standard morning juices, dry cereal, bagels and bread. Day 1 they also had cheese omelets, potatoes, and cut up sausages. Day 2 they had western omelets, potatoes, and bacon. Both days were good. You could also make your own waffles. Day 1 was vanilla waffles or blueberry, day 2 was vanilla waffles or banana. We did not try the waffles. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. The staff (with the exception of 1 employee) were all friendly and seemed happy to be there.

We had to interact with one staff member who was extremely rude all around. I'm talking dirty looks before we spoke, and straight up attitude and nastiness when we did speak. I won't go into details because it's rather ridiculous... I have a feeling she would be easy to pinpoint and I don't want to cause anyone to get fired - but I will say if I did not have to interact with her this rating would be different. I think the staff (this one employee) would benefit from customer service training, and additional training overall in communicating with the public as someone in the hotel service industry. Also I was very disappointed there was not a tip jar out for the breakfast staff. They were exceptional! Constant upkeep on the omelets, helping everyone cook waffles, and cleaning up non stop.

We usually love staying at Hampton Inn, but this was a bad experience.

When you served individual packets of cereal, we were able to enjoy breakfast. We keep kosher. Maybe you could have a discount for no breakfast plan.

Beds were very uncomfortable. We did not sleep well as a result and when we called front desk, reception, lady was very sweet, but all beds the same.

Beware of foul orders .. it came from ac unit with mold or mildew on the sides

the moldy smell in the room ,mold on the side of the AC and a leaking refrigerator with a wet towel under it .Nasty That explains the bad smell

Convenient place to stay en route to Vermont

Nice hotel but quite noisy next to the Interstate. Plenty of eating places to walk to. We went to 99 chain. Good service and value for money.

Only the noise of the traffic but that is to be expected.

Great weekend can’t wait to do it again!!!

The location was perfect as we traveled to visit a long lost cousin, that we recently reconnected with and she lives right on the same street as the Hampton!

The coffee they serve is to weak and they don’t have much choices

Decent place if you're not picky

It was located in a great place and clean

Room was definitely smaller than advertised. Wish the sink was outside the bathroom and an updated TV where you can cast your streaming to the TV.
