Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sherman Highway 75 by IHG

The room was clean and neat, bed a little comfortable, nice and dark for sleeping,the staff very friendly and attentive.

The room was to be handicapped accessible, the toilet very low, toilet seat was loose and shifted. There wasn’t a shower hand held , just the one way up that wasn’t handy at all.

Kevin the manager went above and beyond what would be required to perform his job. We had issues with our door cards. The issue was our fault due to my cellphone cover had a magnet and erased our cards. He came up and helped us get in and then reprogrammed our cards. Learned something LOL. I actually observed him later with 2 other guest checking in and he was so professional and just as helpful. Due to the road construction he recommended 2 restaurants that where easy to access from the hotel to avoid dealing with traffic. All my times of using motels/hotels this was the best customer service I had ever experienced. Kevin provides 10 star customer service.

Was nothing that I didn't like. Room was great and the morning breakfast was very good as well. The morning staff overseeing the breakfast and front desk was professional and very friendly.

The breakfast was excellent. We stayed two nights and often see the same food presented in every breakfast bar. The Sherman Holiday Inn Express was wonderful - the first day biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage (2 types). The second day the makings for breakfast burritos (eggs, potatoes, cheese, bacon). The 'standard' offerings both days were the pancake machine and warm cinnamon rolls. My husband asked to have his coffee heated up and the woman staffing the breakfast bar was happy to do it and in fact, asked him the second day if his coffee was warm enough!

We reserved a double queen suite for 3 adults and there was only one bath towel initially. When we asked for additional towels, the front desk immediately provided us with two more. I would recommend stocking more towels initially.

Bed was comfortable. Room location was quiet.

We arrived late & there were 2 cars parked in the turnout with several people hanging around the cars, sitting in & around them, car doors open, smoking. As a result my daughter couldn't drop me off at the door. I have mobility issues. No close spots due to a party in room off lobby (these people were party guests). Noone at front desk, phone ringing repeatedly, someone shows up after about 10 min. & apologizes. 4th fl. Had a musty smell, both hall and room...no ice machine, one on 3rd floor broken. Carpet damp in places in room.
