Great location near Carlsbad Cavern (45 minutes to visitor center) and Guadalupe Mountains (50 minutes to visitor center) National Parks. Very good hot breakfast in the AM (Croisant breakfast sandwiches, bacon, scrambled eggs, waffle maker, fresh oatmeal, juices, and other continental breakfast items. Beds were extremely comfortable and shower had good pressure and stable hot water. The pool was excellent and refreshing in the 100 F heat. Tesla 350kW Supercharger in the parking lot was the entire reason we chose the Fairfield Inn -- Tesla charging network has been sparse (non-existent) in the lower area of New Mexico, making reaching Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks challenging to impossible (with the winds in the area) - the addition of the Tesla Supercharger in Carlsbad (Fairfield Inn) relieved that challenge (a bit) [Tesla needs to install the approved (2025) Supercharger in Roswell, NM to address needing 105% charge (or more) to make it from Carlsbad to Santa Rosa, NM, without spending HOURS at destination chargers]. Easy walk next door to Walmart for supplies / food (or in our case, forgotten articles of clothing).
The hotel charged me $41 more than what Booking.com had quoted me. AC unit in room made strange noises when compressor was off (but kept the room cool). You can definitely hear the trucks on the highway until around 8PM when the traffic literally disappeared (except for a handful of stragglers till around midnight -- not loud enough to wake me up once I fell asleep).

Location to the caverns is nice,
Half the lights in the room didn't work. The refrigerator was starting to come apart on the inside. No housekeeping - not even if you asked. (And this was after having to change rooms because the window frame in the first room was broken)

Comfortable bed. Heated pool. Close parking.
Hot tub broken. Gym equipment shabby and dirty. Terrible breakfast. Room didn’t get cleaned. Thin walls loud noises.
