Cadet Motel

Super cheap rate (for the area) so no surprises that it was a run down, dirty roadside motel with some nefarious goings on. But if what you need is a cheap place to crash between your outings to Storm King, this place is fine.

A breakfast would be cool but other than that perfect

It was very clean and everything work the microwave and the fridge also the tv

The location

Clearly I was not looking or expecting luxury when bookiing Cadet Motel. The bed was comfortable, the place quiet throughout the stay, the room had a strong AC, and the TV was working. It seems like the rooms are being gradually renovated. That is a good fact. My room felt redone with some final touches missing. Likely coming soon.

There are really only a few things I think the motel ownership could do better: don't permit smoking in rooms, and wash everything if it did happen. My room had the lingering cold smoke that non-smokers will notice immediately. The other are touch-ups to avoid mold in floor grout lines, and a shower head that is not entirely pointed at the wall. I understand that some of this is potentially linked to poor guest behavior, but reflects back on the ownership.
