We loved the access to the lake with paddle boards, kayaks, etc. It is walking distance to the restaurants and bars in town. The hotel has a game room with Foosball and a pool table overlooking the Lake. Each day my wife and I did a walk around the lovely lake. We want to come back to do a 10 mile bike path between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.

I like the location of the hotel. The breakfast was very good at Dancing Bears. The rooms were spacious.
I wish there was a microwave in the room and a coffee station in the lobby of the mirror lake part of the hotel we stayed at.
Our slider did not close correctly.

Very old but well maintained. Easy to navigate and great amenities. Close to everything!
Free kayaks, clean rooms, free coffee in the morning, snacks in the evening.

The view
At check-in the receptionist gave us the further away room, the last one , at the tar end of the building. Mind you, the hotel was EMPTY!!!!
