Breakfast served on the late side.

The location was lovely and very accessible to a variety of interests. Simply driving around was enjoyable. Our Host welcomed us into her home and provided just enough info to settle us in as well as inform us of some local options. The breakfast was substantial and varied for each of our 2 days. Sandy provided her own take on some delicious foods and we appreciated her skills as well as the locally sourced ingredients, coffee, fruits and baked goods. The house as well as each room was beautifully and uniquely decorated with antiques and some re-purposed items. Books etc. were provided for use in the cozy living room by the fireplace or spacious wraparound porch. The bed was very comfortable and luxuriously appointed, I could have just stayed there! We went for the foliage but just a respite from ordinary schedules is worth the experience at Hilltop House.
