Clean facility. Good location with some restaurants and a large grocery store nearby.
The hotel rooms only have blackout curtains, you have to close them to have any privacy...

Everything was easy and assessable to get to in the dinning area. The location was perfect for the family of patients in Salem VA. The area around the Day’s Inn had a shopping Plaza with a Starbucks, Hardee’s,s and Macdonalds and a Pizza shop along with an oriental shop.
On the first day they could have had bananas that were ripe and not three really rotten spots on them. On the second morning they needed to check to make sure their coffee pots were not pumping out lukewarm coffee. My bed was never made up when I came back from the VA Hospital, visiting with my husband. I was given the same towel to use all my three day stay. There was no overhead light, just small lamps. The bathroom walls by the Komodo had blood or feces on it. The Komodo bottom looked as though it had not been clean for sometime.
