Angola Motel

A little out dated but very clean and great price.

The staff provided quick and courteous check-in, helped me find a local place to eat that delivered and even provided silverware when the delivery driver forgot them!

The location was great and it was exactly what we expected.

There was a light smell of old cigarettes but it wasn't that bad. I warmer blanket would have been nice, it was pretty cold that night!

Cheap motel close to the boat launch we were using to go fishing on lake Erie. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Not very clean. Not sure why they don't put a little more effort into cleaning the rooms. Its almost comically dirty. I was there on a fishing trip with my friend so we didn't care but if I were to come here with my family it would have been a problem and we would have left. On our first night a couple did leave and were very vocal about how unhappy they were with the cleanliness of the rooms. The staff could literally fix the dirtiness in the rooms with a vacuum and light cleaning products. The room did not have any thing that made me feel unsafe as far as health concerns or bedbugs or anything like that. It's just dirty. With that being said I would stay here again for a fishing trip in the future. Its CHEAP and the location was right for us. The staff that I had contact with were friendly and helpful. I actually do not think someone should expect anything much for a 60 dollar a night room anyway. I am not writing this review to stop people from coming here. I am writing it so that unexpecting customers wont be caught off guard. Its a low cost budget type of place and that's OK. You get what you pay for. If you want something nice and fancy you have to pay a lot more money for it. If you aren't picky about the room and want a simple place to sleep for a great price I would say this is a good place for you. Ill see you next year Angola Motel. Thankyou.
