We stayed at The Legacy in Cookeville for one night while travelling from the Smoky Mountains through to Memphis, and it was a really convenient stopover.
The location was excellent for us, as it’s just off I-40, making it very easy to get back on the road the next morning. There are also plenty of restaurants and places to eat nearby, which was ideal after a long day of travelling.
The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient, and check-in was straightforward. Our room was spacious and clean, which made it a comfortable place to relax for the evening. The air conditioning was fantastic and kept the room really cool, although, like most room AC units, it was a little noisy — but certainly nothing that bothered us.
We also appreciated having a fridge in the room, as it meant we could keep our chilled food and drinks at the right temperature while travelling. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great, and the room also had a hairdryer and TV, providing everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay.
Overall, The Legacy was a convenient, clean and comfortable stop on our journey, and we’d happily stay again if we were passing through Cookeville.
