I think the upgrades are great!!
The only thing is there is no fridge or microwave in the room which I guess makes sense for the type of hotel this is but also the bathroom sink is super small spaced!

Location was good in relation to where we needed to be. They were in the middle of a reno so I can't speak to much about the overall facility. Room was clean and a decent size and the walls are thick.
The lighting wasn't great for getting ready (makeup, etc.) and the bathroom walls do not go to the ceiling so the privacy factor was greatly diminished when using the toilet and there were two of us in the room. The bed was a bit soft for our taste and the hvac unit was loud the first night.
