We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay to accommodate our eclipse viewing experience.

We chose the La Quinta by Wyndham St. Albans for its location -- we were coming to view the April 8 2024 total solar eclipse and the hotel, with its generous parking areas and broad expanses of lawn provided us with an excellent place to view the eclipse, while able to to walk from our room to the viewing area without needing to use our car for the entire two nights and busy eclipse day. Absolutely wonderful (and the eclipse was spectacular as well).

No suggestions.

Very good

Good breakfast served every morning - friendly staff - nice pool area and water was pretty warm most of the time.

Room size wasn't sufficient for 4 adults & 1 child - no sleeper sofa and not much extra space. Construction/remodeling being done on 2nd floor during stay.

I came ,I slept, I left.

The sink wouldn't drain properly and leaked underneath. Something was obviously clogging it, and that made it uncomfortable using it.

It was great!

Staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast and lobby was wonderful. Beds were comfortable. Room was at a great temp when we got there and it was a nice bonus to have the refrigerator already on and cold.

Bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Not horrible but needed a bit more attention. Door was banged up. It looked as though someone had tried to break in. The pool looked to have been filled to much. Water everywhere. And they said they didn’t except cash which I guess I understand because you use a credit card to hold the room but if I didn’t have a credit card or debit card i should still be able to walk in and pay cash for a room.

Fantastic experience from a great place

Front desk staff was super helpful and gave me a complete rundown of the facilities and told me all the great features you provide.

absolutely disgusting

The room was absolutely disgusting and run down. I took pictures of everything but I will be forwarding to corporate. definitely not Worth what I paid and I had stayed here previously and absolutely loved it, but that was a few years ago before it was completely run down. If it wasn't so cold out we would have stayed in our vehicle instead.

it was a place to sleep, but next time will drive the extra 5-10 mins and stay elsewhere

we were in town for a hockey tournament and it was right across the straight from the rink

room was dirty. hairs everywhere in bathroom. bar of soap left in shower from previous person.

It gave me what I needed - a place to stay with pets - but don’t think I ‘d stay again because there is a very nice hote

close to where I needed to be and accepted pets. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and very pleasant

while the room was clean and beds were made with clean fresh linens there was a lot of dust on the ceiling vent and heater. The room furnishings were damaged - dented,nicked - and the bathtub was old and worn - all that made it feel dirty - the room needed an update - and it smelled like smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room.

Quiet, comfortable, time for a serious upgrade with Eco friendly products.

It was clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast tasted good and liked the I like the options for food.

That for the price our room was falling apart. Prices of everything is going up. And our wall paper was peeling off the walls in our room! And there was no grout left in-between the tiles in the bathroom. They closed breakfast exactly at 9:00am I was sure I was told it ended at 10:00! So we got there at 8:45 and was cut off from refills. But yes when I asked we could get more juice and coffee. The staff was kind about it. It is time to update. As well as buy more echo friendly products for the guest essentials including using biodegradable plastic forks and packaging on condiments and biodegradable paper plates. After all this is the green state of Vermont and we are very aware of our environment! Let’s keep it clean we can’t afford to throw away that amount of plastic every day we should be leading the way and that includes in the hotels and restaurants!

Clean, comfortable and friendly place to spend a night or two.

I arrived late in the evening, the hotel was notified in advance and I was greeted by a friendly fellow at the reception desk. I had seen some worrying comments on earlier posts but I didn't find any of those problems. The hotel was clean, the staff inviting and the room comfortable. That a full breakfast was available was an added bonus and added value to my stay. The hotel is a bit on the periphery but that is reflected in the price. I would stay there again.
