Disappointed
The location is beautiful. Great view all around the resort.
The reason I chose this resort was because of the advertising of zip lining on the website. When we arrived we were informed that they no longer do zip lining. Very disappointed considering that it was advertised on the website and the only reason we chose this resort. Also we were only allowed 1 bag of coffee for the entire weekend. Considering the cost to stay at the resort u would think they could include another bag or 2.

We love this property!!
very nice staff. perfect location.
The heated garage was nice. The ski/snowboard lockers were nice. great location! We will definitely be staying here again! (would have liked more than 1 coffee for the week stay) But beautiful stay otherwise!!

We will continue to come up to Snowshoe, but will make better choices in lodging and restaurants.
We usually eat breakfast in the room. Food at The Junction and Foxfire Grill is always good. Seneca has very nice lodging. Nice location. Clean.
Disappointed with our room. I was almost claustrophobic with such a small room. I called to see if there were any other rooms available, even to pay for an upgrade and they the first desk gal said no. I can't imagine it being 100% full this past weekend. We will never book this Junior Suite again. Much too small for us. Disappointed with Sunset Cantina. This was the first time we ate there. Food was very disappointing. We ordered the beef taco, it was the smallest taco we ever seen (street taco). $8.00 per plate. We had to order another plate for the both of us, another $16. Most Mexican restaurants serve you "free" chips and salsa. We had to pay $8 for stale chips and salsa that was watered down! As our second plate arrived, this time the beef taco was a little bigger....hmmm...wonder why. We watched our waiter work in the kitchen along with the other chefs plating. He and another waitress was eating back in the kitchen! This is a small resort with limited restaurants. You would think they can provide a better Mexican restaurant better than Taco Bell! We will never eat at the Sunset Cantina again. The Junction and Foxfire Grill are much better choices to eat at.

Poor
Conveniently located in the village within walking distance to the trails and restaurants/bars. Hot tub on property. Underground parking available.
Check in was at a totally different property. Pull out bed was filthy. Patio was unsafe, had to change rooms. Room overall could have done with a good cleaning.

Avoid Seneca Unit 100 at all cost!
Seneca is conveniently situated in the village and walking distance to shops and restaurants. It has basement parking on a first come first served basis, so if you find parking in the basement, better to make use of the shuttle bus and walking, in order to not lose your parking spot.
Unit 100 was our worst nightmare ever. First we had to return to check-in 3 times before our keys worked, and the 4th time the assistant at Seneca who had not been at her desk the previous 3 times managed to fix the keys. Once settled in all went well until it was bedtime. The main bedroom mattress was extremely worn out. The windows in the main bedroom did not seal properly allowing the icy cold wind (we hit temperatures of 5'F at night) into the room. The heating system made a terribly loud noise every time it switched on, which was every 24 minutes and would last for as long as it was on (14 minutes). Due to the windows not sealing properly all noise in the street was clearly heard. This meant that every snow plow that passed, felt like it was plowing right through the bedroom. Needless to say, we did not sleep much the first night, so we decided to sleep on the sleeper couch the second night as the second bedroom was occupied by family. At least we did not have the street noise or the cold wind blowing on our heads, but the heating system was just as noisy, and the sleeper couch was a poor excuse for a bed. It is beyond my understanding how one can rent out accommodation that is so uncomfortable and poorly maintained, and still charge a fortune. I can not speak for other units at Seneca, but avoid Unit 100!
