The breakfast was typical for this type of hotel. It was tasty, but had limited variety. The building, while it seemed to be older, was updated, comfortable, and clean. Essentially every room had an usable balcony, which is unusual. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is on a main highway. However, you have to drive to all of the venues, sites, and activities in the Okoboji area. There was not a lot of information on activities in the area in the hotel.

No elevator our room was on the second floor

Location
The price. An average room for $300 in Iowa seems nuts. They would t let me cancel with an emergency so we stayed there and the staff had a real attitude towards us.
