Water's Edge Resort & Spa

I would say it was a nice stay in general. Friendly staff. Well organized and big resort. Good live music at dinner time. The water by the beach was very nice and clean. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. So peaceful in general. Perfect place if you need a vacation to relax. Amazing view from the room. Really nice restaurants nearby, only 10-15 mins walking from the resort.

Too pricey. Not a lot of options at the restaurant or bistro menu so we had to go outside the resort. Food was very expensive comparing to the portions. Such a big resort should have at least breakfast included for that price of the room. Nothing included not even a bottle of water at the room. Spa not included either. You had to pay extra. Pool inside was very humid, didn’t have fresh air at all and too small and would get crowded quick. Beach beds very old and not enough beach umbrellas. Beach beds so close to each other, no privacy at all. A lot of insects and bees by the beach and the whole resort in general and they would bother you while eating.

Staff

The bathtub is difficult for an older person because there are no handholds when getting in. The bathroom down by the beach is subpar. If you need to take a shower and change before leaving for the day, there is no place to sit or put your stuff to stay dry. The week we were there, the elevator to the changing rooms by the pool was broken and it is hard for me to take the stairs down and up.

Beautiful property with everything you need

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds and location are beautiful and watching the snow come down while looking out at the water during our stay was peaceful. Even though the facility was going through renovations and you could hear the construction going on while eating, the food and service was good in area they designated for to take the place of the sea view bistro. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly, super helpful and courteous.

The pool and spa area definitely needs updating. Ie paint pealing around the hot tub and pool area, not enough pool chairs, and the locker rooms were small and could use updating as well. The filtered water fountain in the gym was super slow to fill your water bottle. However the pool and fitness area was clean.
