Exceptional

The location was the first thing that really stood out, but the staff when we checked in really set the tone for our stay-super friendly and helpful! We loved the room when we got in and continued to love it our whole stay. The staff at the bar and restaurant was equally friendly. We really appreciated the close proximity to all the shops and restaurants in the downtown Golden area. We definitely plan to return!

I would rather have had king beds rather than queen beds, but that's a minor quibble.

Great hotel in downtown Golden

The location of the hotel is perfect to walk downtown and to the river. Easy onsite parking. The inside is updated with a nice bit of history. The creek side rooms have a lovely view. Wonderful breakfast in the restaurant downstairs.

We had an issue with our room door not opening but Ryan happily moved us to a new room.

It was fabulous and would consider revisiting in the summer.

Didn't eat breakfast there. Walked to the Windy Saddle for a healthy breakfast.

The door locks were hard to get open and although we loved our room the windows are leaking air and the curtains were moving on the windy night we were there. We needed to turn up the thermostat the keep it warm.

Sleepless night in Golden

Situated in the center of Golden, directly at the river

There was a truck at 2:45 am unloading directly under our window, with the engine running. After a while my husband went to the reception and asked the receptionist to have this noise stopped. However, he said, that he couldn’t do anything about it. 2 hours later, when the truck left, the receptionist switched on music which prevented us from sleeping for the rest of the night. When we complained about the nightly noise at the reception in the next morning, she told us, that she cannot make anything about it, these are the schedules of the supplier. She did not even apologize. Not a place I really want to stay at.

perfect location, pet friendly, high quality

comfy beds, nice linens and plush towels in the room. the quality of everything is outstanding and the location is perfect. pet friendly too!

when I arrived I was the only person in the lobby. the staff seemed to be handling some issue regarding another guest’s room, which I can understand, but they didn’t acknowledge me at all for an awkward amount of time, seeing as I was standing like two feet in front of them

A good hotel in Golden Colorado.

We like the location and the size of the bedroom. It's spacious.

We don't like the bathroom, it was so cramped and the beds were hard. Everything is a bit dated.

The Executive Queen Room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable.

The Shower didn't drain while in use so we had to stand in water up past ankle depth. There was an old grape under the bathroom sink/vanity. The towels weren't the softest. The hospitality of front desk guest services was less than expected for staying in one of the nicer rooms.

The Golden hotel is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy downtown Golden and the surrounding area.

It was very beautiful and the location was awesome!

I could hear noise from the lobby that woke me up at night. I also would have preferred a little softer mattress.

Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing hotel, beautiful furnishings and helpful staff. The bed was absolutely the comfiest bed I have slept in in years!

There could have been a couple more coffee pods in the room.

Great place to stay as my introduction to Colorado. Thank you.

Great position, very comfortable. Made to feel very at home especially as travelling alone. Kindly given a better room that I’d booked, with lovely view of the mountains.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. Assume my room/bathroom wasn’t serviced because of covid but was surprised. Forgot to ask when I was there.

It was a very comfortable, western style hotel with friendly and professional staff.

The location was great for walking along Clear Creek, museums, parks, shopping, restaurants and bars. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The lobby was beautiful with a cozy fireplace. Bartender was friendly and engaging.

Breakfast was not served until 9:00. I would have preferred 8:00.
