Suburban Studios Sterling - Washington Dulles

Great place today and a very affordable price point.. Loved it for a weekend get away.

Noise from the bathroom fan

Albeit the experience started off great. Felt well welcomed. After incurring a negative balance of a slight bit over an amount, I recieved a called from the Sales Rep who said you have until the 31st to settle and even up. Next day: Call at 11:30am and surely told me I have less to 2 hours to get out, As, I tried to reason with the sales manager (AMY) her energy and annoyance grew with her tone to almost sarcasm. I find it extremely kind to have been allowed to extend my stay. However the customer serivce leads much to be desired. The housekeeping team is top notch. So no worries about them. Be warned: You can no longer stay further then 90 days. That is your extended stay.

I did not like that fact the there was a turtle or rabbit race to the laundry machine. They tend of the (5) operating washing machines. Its a good week if all work. With a hotel that size, who also work construction should have to squeeze to (2) machines along the rest of other workers. Dryers work though.

The bed was comfortable. That's honestly the only thing I liked.

I arrived late (about 11 PM). It was difficult to find where the entrance was. I had to drive around the entire hotel and then noticed there was an interior entrance. It's confusing since it shares the same parking lot with Candlewood Suites. There is also not a pull up carport like you see with most hotels. I had to pull up to what I thought "could" be the entrance and park my car in a place where there isn't a parking spot just to walk in to ask if that is where I should go to check in. It would have been better if there was a lit Suburban Studios sign at the main entrance. The rooms are VERY small and the AC unit was right next to the bed. It was very hard to sleep with the unit kicking on and off and blowing right on me. I also tried the continuous fan setting but it isn't as advertised. The fan stayed running but very quietly and when the AC kept kicking on and off, it was very loud. I only got about 4 hours of sleep both nights. Also, the police showed up to arrest a man in Candlewood Suites. There were about 5 police cars in between the entrances for Candlewood Suites and Suburban Studios. It just didn't feel like a safe area even though this is in the heart of Loudoun County, VA which is one of the top 5 richest counties in the United States.
