The room was very spacious, a view lovely, the whole place quiet. The staff is responsive and communicates well. It took around 30 min to get to Sonora Pass for hikes. There's a great coffee at Walker (Walker Coffee Company), less than 5 min from the Lodge.

The giant rock behind the motel, the proximity to Bodie
The pool closed early, the rec/ game room could only be reserved in advance apparently … this was early August and everyone is still on vacation and it’s hot, it would be nice to use the amenities longer. Consumer should know that the entire town closes up by 8pm, hard to find much food.

The room was well-kept, clean, nestled in a scenic area. The price was quite reasonable, and the staff were very friendly, accommodating, will even deliver pizza to your room—talk about room service! I’ll definitely make this my go-to spot whenever I’m in the area.

Very well maintained and clean. Friendly greeting when I first arrived. Explained all I needed to know to make my stay enjoyable. The property is very private with scenic views. The rooms are spacious and clean and will return.
My only disappointment was the bed. I’m use to a firm pillow top mattress and this one was too soft to enjoy a restful sleep.
