Canton Motel

Simple roadside motel but they've made a genuine effort around comfort, room was actually quite cute. No bugs or worn linen here. Friendly owner who happily accommodated a late arrival. NB its a decent stopping point to/from DFW (with old- school cafe/diner thingy just across the road....just dont accidentally order from the bible which sits on the counter beside the menu). Id stay again.

The aircon sounds like a rocket test site, it would be great to offer a fan as an option. I prefer a fan anyway, no idea why everyone in US is obsessed with aircon, especially when their gadget construction is so inferior.

I love staying here when I'm in town! Its not the most glamorous but it has the perfect homely feel. Staff is amazing and goes above and beyond with everything!

We travel frequently. My guidelines for hotels is nothing with a number or a color in the name and must start with an H. We were in Canton to shop the antique fair and this was the closest hotel. I was skeptical to say the least but read thru the reviews and gave it a shot. The gentleman that checked us in was kind and we received an old fashioned key to our room. Opened the door and it smelled fresh, linens were crisp and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Extra towels, coffee maker and microwave. Extra soap, additional TP it was all there. Temps were near 100 degrees and the air conditioner kept up with the heat and we were comfortable considering we like a cold interior environment. Quiet, clean, friendly. Nothing bad to say here. Don't hesitate to book if you are in the area. Did I mention the VALUE for this room. Beyond expectations. Thank you for the nice stay.

Very cute, homey place to stay. And my goodness the cleanest place I have stayed lately. The couple who runs it are the sweetest.
