The hotel is very clean, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the bed is comfortable. Those are the strongest points. For a short stay, it delivers well on the basics: cleanliness, courtesy, and rest.
The problem is value: like so many hotels now, this property is priced as if cleanliness were a luxury concept rather than the bare minimum. Everything is cosmetically clean, but the materials have that familiar cheap plastic sheen of corporate hospitality pretending to be design. The location is grim: cement, highway noise, gas stations, fast food, and the general ambiance of a spreadsheet with parking. The amenities are equally joyless. Free coffee arrives in tiny hotel-branded cups, and breakfast offers the usual bottom-line buffet of electric-colored Froot Loops and institutional carbohydrates. All of this would be perfectly acceptable at a genuinely low price, but it is not. Algorithms have learned to overcharge for mediocrity, and the hotel industry has apparently mistaken “basic” for “boutique.” Spark by Hilton is not especially sparky, except for the genuinely delightful people who work there.
