Very nice location. Good views from room.
Confusing set up and numbering of rooms. More stairs than I expected. Would have been helpful to have information booklet in room to give basic information.

So many stairs.

Location and layout of the room.
Was overpriced for what we were getting compared to other hotels in the area.

The view of the marina was incredible (though covered in fog the first night we arrived). Plenty of marine life to be observed: seals, cormorants, and gulls and pelicans. The couch and bed were comfortable. The staff (especially Grace) went above and beyond in getting us settled into a new room just as the front desk was closing for the night.
Our original room was really, really nice (#148). However, when we tried to shower, the handle controlling the water turned out to have stripped it's gears and nothing would turn on. How does the housekeeping staff not notice this if they are cleaning/rinsing the tub after the previous guests?!? Even the new room they set up for us had cobwebs, a slow draining shower, and unreplaced batteries in the large clock on the wall; plus, the furniture in the second room was not really all that comfortable.
