Although you can tell the hotel isn't new and some areas need a little TLC, it is very well-maintained and clean. Our rooms were spotless, odorless, A/C working good, and the service from the staff on every shift we encountered was excellent; while the location isn't the most attractive—due to a nearby abandoned plaza—it is very convenient and quiet. I highly recommend this hotel for short stays if you need to attend an event on Staten Island or in the surrounding areas.

breakfast was nice, and the check in staff was accommodating
I specifially book a room with the Whirl pool tub for my sister so that she could enjoy a nice bath. The tub had splattered blood stains. By the time i could ask about getting it cleaned there was no staff available to clean it and it was late. They did offer to move us into another room, just wouldnt have the tub, plus i travelled with my 80 year old mother. It wouldn't have been fair to move her that time of night.
