Nice suite, friendly staff, location has lots of restaurants

It would be nice to have a small oven in the suite

Perfect location! Walking distance to all food and to Walmart, although I didn’t want to walk to Walmart with a stroller since I didnt think there were sidewalks leading all the way there.

The only thing I didn’t like is that I felt like the walls were thin enough to hear other people. But it was a great stay overall and nothing to complain about.

The hotel is typically good value for money (but not around high season). The rooms, in particular the bathrooms are spacious, basically small apartments with kitchen. NYC/Port Authority Bus Terminal is easily reachable in 20-30 minutes with a direct bus ride (5 USD / person / ride), the bus stop being a few minutes walk away from the hotel. With taxi/car easier and less expensive to reach from Newark airport (by contrast, with public transportation difficult to reach). There is a broad variety of restaurants next to the hotel. Also big Walmart 10 minutes walk away.

Around Christmas time (when we traveled) everything in NYC is full and double the price - same here. So at this time, not good value for money. The breakfast is basic, no meat, cheese, or vegetables. Sadly all utensils are made of plastic, producing lots of unnecessary trash. That said, all this seems to be US standard, so maybe I had wrong expectations. The service personnel is understaffed and does not keep up with the guests' consumption, guests waiting in line - again, probably due to high season around Christmas. The rooms did not seem very clean and the furniture has seen better days. All in all, we booked lacking any other options on rather short notice and did not encounter any big problems, but we would not stay here again.
