Maplecroft Bed & Breakfast far exceeded our expectations on all levels! Karen greeted us as we arrived and made us feel at home right away. She also told us about some great local things to see (Meltdown restaurant right across the street, Morse Farm, Rock of Ages Quarry tour, and Hope Cemetery). We were invited to use the common living rooms at our leisure and help ourselves to the coffee at any time. The breakfasts were delicious, including homemade bread used for the French toast and huevos rancheros on our second morning (we stayed 3 days). Every design detail in this classic house is covered. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the room we stayed in was comfortable, including robes, a writing desk, side chair, and plenty of closet space. Our bathroom had a clawfoot tub, and even the radiator was decorative! We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing negative!

Loved the design and decor of the home. The fact that the B&B operator had so many connections to New Orleans allowed the conversations at breakfast to be very open. The food was excellent.

That we couldn't stay longer and see some of the surrounding areas more.

We were served excellent breakfasts on both mornings by the owner. The property is conveniently situated, not far from the town centre and Barre was convenient for touring the area.

A duster flicked over the furniture would have helped.

This really is a special place. The owners have outdone themselves on this B&B in Barre VT. The history of this old Victorian house is exceptional, and it feels very cozy!

Caryn was an amazing innkeeper! Easy to talk to, friendly, and amazing food! I would come back if I was in the area!

It's a small thing but the seal on the windows could be better since it got a bit cold in the middle of the night.

parking was difficult. definitely NOT accessible for anyone with any difficulties. no easy access from street as steps had no rail. if someone with even slight disabilities wanted to stay it wouldn’t be possible. wasn’t crazy about the breakfast.
