It was such a pleasure to be at a place that had such a rich history! Even the front door was used as the inspiration for Gone With the Wind! And the current owner is 6th generation of the family. It is a beautiful place! Also, the bed was very comfortable and the shower newly renovated.
I thought the price was quite a bit for the size of the room we were in. And I was disappointed about the lack of on site hospitality that I am normally accustomed to at B and B. We didn’t ever speak to the owners and so there was no one to speak to about the history of the house and they don’t put out water or snacks anywhere since they keep the main doors locked.

The Linden is a beautiful, stately old mansion. The elegant dining room is wonderful and that's where we had breakfast on both of the mornings we were there. Wait-staff was friendly and very helpful. The grounds of the Linden are a wonderful place to get some peace and quiet, with beautiful flowers, mature trees and shrubs. One can also walk in the neighborhood safely and securely.
The Linden is very old; and there are exterior surfaces around the rooms that need attention, i.e. repainting. That said, the hosts are wonderful people and very friendly. They even opened up the gift shop after hours so we could shop a bit.

We enjoyed everything about the property and were upset that time did not allow for us to spend more time there. The breakfast was our favorite part!
