The hotel overall is decent. I had a standard king room, fairly spacious, with a partial ocean view, which was definitely a plus. Breakfast was good and included with the room, not a huge selection, but pretty tasty. The front desk staff were mostly attentive and responsible, and genuinely tried to help - but not all of them, a few just weren't great at being polite with guests. The location is convenient - quiet, but you can easily walk to downtown along a nice boardwalk. There's a little grocery store nearby, plus a CVS. The beach is right across the street, but honestly every hotel in Miami Beach is close to the beach :)
There is a problem with room cleaning. If housekeeping shows up while you're still in the room and you ask them to come back later, chances are no one will. After 5 days I asked for the bedding to be changed, and they couldn't get it done in one go - I had to remind the front desk three days in a row, which was annoying. Housekeeping may come in even if you've got the "Do Not Disturb" sign up - they don't speak English, and honestly I don't get why they can't learn that one standard phrase, since it's literally meant for them. The mattress was too soft for my taste, but if your back's fine, it's not a big deal. The pet fee was $250, which was a lot more than at other hotels nearby.

The highlight would the location - hard to find anything reasonable for that price in south beach.
One of the hosts - Adriana - extremely nice and helpful, true gem.
There was a stand alone AC unit in the middle of the room with huge exhaust pipe TAPED to the window. Who’s meant I could open the window if I needed fresh air… also it looked like it’s a hostel not a hotel with that thing.
The room was not cleaned for two first nights of my stay.
