Breakfast was great. Eggs made to order with sausage/bacon/hashbrowns. The staff was very kind. The room we had could've used a bit better cleaning. The corner of the bathroom and one wall in the bedroom were dirty, but the sheets and bedding were great (which matters most). The room was very large - we had a living-room type thing in addition to the main bedroom. We appreciated the extra space, and because we brought our dogs, it was more sound-muffling to have an extra space between the bedroom and the door. The facility itself was... very unique. A little strange: the massive stone with the ten commandments in one of the main spaces, the huge floor space with plants all around, the game tables (pool and shuffleboard)... It just wasn't what we expected at all (not in a bad way). They have ample space for dogs to roam right outside of where they book people with dogs. It was a bit pricier than we would've liked, but that's okay. It was the best place to stay in Abilene. They also gave us some free drink tickets, but we unfortunately didn't get to make use of them. They also allowed us a pretty late checkout, which we appreciated since we were working from the hotel before continuing our road trip.
The fitness room didn't have much and was very small. Staff forgot to communicate with each other about our late checkout but we resolved it easily with a call to the front desk. Some spaces missed on the cleaning.
