We requested a king room on the first floor. We were accomodated. The entrance to the room was outside the facility, which was ok. However the entrance was located beneath the outside stairway to the second floor. It just seemed wierd like we were getting a second class room. There was an odor when we first entered. Kind of like you get when you are in an older hotel. Maybe it was cleaning product but more like old carpeting. After a while we got used to it and ignored it. The bed was ok The pillows were small. The bathroom area was also small but sufficient for two people. There seemed to be only one location for ice. It was centrally located but in a separate location behind a closed door The breakfast location and the amenities were in a building separate from the hotel
The girl that took the reservation of the gentleman ahead of us made a definite negative recommendation about one of the well known restaurants in Wall. In fact it was the restaurant that we had chosen to eat at that evening. We considered her negative comments but went there anyway. The restaurant provided very good food and service was prompt and attentative. She had cautioned that there would be extreme wait times and recommended other dining options. Our experience was good. We entered the restaurant around 6pm and were prompltly seated. This is a tourist location so you really cant be sure on any day how crowded locations will be. She was extremely negative about the wait time. She said something like "if you want to wait an hour or more that's your choice, but there are other better places". That was just not an acceptable way to guide her customer
