It was a great value for the money. The staff was friendly enough. The pool was nice and obviously maintained even though I didn't get to use it. They also allowed us to use our grill in the parking lot to grill out some food, which I very much appreciated! the bed was nice and comfortable and was remade on our second day Overall it's a decent motel on the way to Tazewell.
The bathroom shower head needs to be cleaned/replaced and the faucet bath metal plates were not affixed to the wall. the water did not always stick with the designated temperature. (I.e cold water was coming out warm even without the faucet turned. I could have also preferred the shampoo and conditioner be in an easier to open package or container.

It's a bit old and rundown, but it's fine. It's perfectly fine place to spend a night if you need. And the staff is really nice.
Nothing specifically to dislike. Just a bit antiquated. Again, I would stay there again if I'm down that way.

It seemed to be the original structure and facilities, i.g. exterior brick work, colored tubs, vintage sinks and lights. Kinda like a step back in time to the old motor courts/roadside motels. The pillows and sheets were stain-free and very clean. They also smelled clean.
Some things should be updated and or fixed. For instance, my bathroom window was broken, so it was covered in plastic and tape. Some of the interior light switches did not work (probably not connected to anything that is used anymore). It is really neat seeing the older fixtures, but often it is difficult to keep things like that really clean. For the price, I hoped for a little better.
