Overall it wasnt as bad as I anticipated if need be I would stay here again

Its close to a few restaurants.

The windows didnt lock which made us a little uncomfortable and I traveled with kids

Great location and clean rooms. Easy choice for a few night stay.

Rooms were very clean inside. I've read some reviews complaining about the smell but during our stay we experienced no issue. The location was great, very close to all the downtown bars and restaurants.

On our first night my cousin who we were visiting stopped by our room. Got a call from the front desk explaining they have a 'no visitors rule'. Once I explained that it was my cousin from the college and that he would not be staying the night it was OK. However, I received 4 more calls from the front desk that night asking if I had more guests over. Very odd old hippie lady working at the front desk, she just stares at the cameras and calls up to your room whenever she sees the door open. Didn't have this problem the next night when that employee wasn't around. They did extend the option to pay $10/day per visitor but, after paying in full for a room, I don't believe you should have to pay some sort of entry fee for family members who are not staying the night.

Good place for a cheaper overnight.

Low cost and close to downtown. It’s not the Taj Mahal, but the beds were comfortable and the hot water was plentiful.

it seems that there are some long term tenants who hung out in the lot. They weren’t threatening, but it made the place interesting.

Overnight in Cortland and the hotel was fine. Again, it's a budget property, set your expectations

There is absolutely no way I would ever stay at this motel again. 4:00 in the morning wake up from druggies screaming at each other outside. 5:00 wake up from druggies screaming at each other outside. And these were tenants of the hotel. I was later informed that they bring in people from the jails and drug addicted people to rent motels in a back. Definitely do not take your wife or children.

A place to sleep within walking distance of everything I needed.

Great location, clean rooms. Like most small town motels things are going on behind closed doors, but ownership does not allow "hanging out" on patio etc.

Had to ask for ice. I was in Cortland for baseball games so I went through quite a bit.

It fit our needs for our trip

No breakfast, diner close by. Room as good size.

Carrying luggage up steps was awkward. We couldn’t understand the man at the desk.

Small upgrades could make a difference

The woman at the front desk was a delight.

The shabbiness of the place. Though the bathroom was newer and clean, I was worried about the carpet and bedspread. Also the bathroom fan was loud, and it was connected with the light, so we didn't use the light most of the time.

Great location, great value!

While the outside might not look like much, the room itself was immaculate, and the heating system worked very well. The location was perfect...quick walk to all Main Street has to offer, and the Cortland Diner was basically across the street, so it was perfect for breakfast!

Photocopy credit card

Heated fan in bathroom

At check in a photocopy of my credit card was taken. I questioned this practice and very nicely told it was required. It is NEVER required to photocopy a customers credit card. I went home and canceled my card. The room although appeared clean, there was overwhelming smell of cologne/perfume absolutely AWFUL! The outside of building NEEDS some major attention. New doors on room so at least felt safe inside . Definitely will not be back because of the photocopy of credit card. BAD practice
