Windswept Motel

This is a fantastic location in Point Pleasant, within easy walking distance of the boardwalk and beach. Beach tags are included, parking is free and easy, and there are ocean views from outside the room. The pool is small but functional and was especially appreciated during the 100°F heat! The room was clean, a decent size, and perfect for a quick two-night getaway. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was exactly what we expected for this style of Jersey Shore accommodation. This is a classic Shore motel, so you shouldn’t expect the five-star amenities of a large hotel, but it has everything you need for a comfortable beach getaway. The Shore can be pricey, and we felt the rate was in line with, or even a little less than, what you would expect for an oceanside motel in this location.

The property was very clean, staff was awesome, close to beach, restaurants, and boardwalk.

No microwave in the room to warm up leftovers from restaurants and boardwalk.

Nextdoor to Windswept Motel is a terrific place to get breakfast and lunch with a gift shop. The food and service was great at The Food Shack.

Here’s a polished, clear review that keeps your concerns but flows better: ⸻ The room layout and setup were quite disappointing. The toilet was extremely low—more like a child’s size—which was very uncomfortable. The blinds didn’t close properly, even after staff attempted to fix them, which affected both privacy and light control. There was no convenient space near the door to place everyday items like keys, a purse, or a water bottle, which made things feel cluttered right away. I also didn’t like that the coffee maker was placed on the vanity, leaving very limited room for toiletries. The only table in the room was on the opposite side and already had items on it, making it impractical to use. Storage was also lacking, with only two drawers available for clothing. Overall, I couldn’t imagine staying here for an extended visit—it just didn’t feel functional or comfortable.
