AC/Heating difficult to figure out but clean and comfortable

Clean comfortable

The heating/ cooling unit was odd. It was chilly out. Put heat on low fan 65°. Got hot pretty fast. Even at lowest temp setting and low fan it got stifling. Turned unit off at night thinking I would be up all night turning on and off. It stayed comfortable all night while off.

Just what we needed and breakfast was provided as a surprise

Clean, modern, comfort, close to highway and included decent breakfast. Online checkin gives dir code — all super!

I pick Fruita over Grand Junction and Balanced Rock Inn over chain lodging when in this area.

The breakfast provided was perfect for active folk. Hard-boiled eggs, apples, bananas, trail bars, milk, and much more. Ice machine was holding its own in 104 degree heat and the AC kept us cool for a good night's sleep. New sun-sails over the outdoor space are very nice.

I wish there were a way to park in the shade in summer. How about a solar array over the parking lot so we can park under it? ;)

Great service, friendly host. I’d stay here again. I wish all places along I 70 were like this.

Super clean and uniquely charming compared to all other roadside hotels.

My stay was great- maybe more shade provided in the outdoor area- the hung fabric was beautiful but didn’t block morning sun. Quiet vibe. Loved everyone’s dogs.

We have stayed here for years when in Fruita and it's only gotten better

Most interaction done through text including code for room entry. It worked well. The hotel is been renovated and continues to be extremely clean. It's just a bit more modern. They now have a Grab and Go breakfast as well. Location is walkable to restaurants.

A nice stay in Fruita

- Perfect location, very close to Colorado National Monument and downtown - Comfortable bed, the room was clean - Convenient check-in, fully online

- The TV was not working - The AC was very loud and kept turning on/off

Clean, cool and friendly old-school motel

The room was clean and the air conditioning was cold. We could control the temperature in the room and I appreciate that since we could not control the thermostat in another hotel. The person who helped us at check in was very nice and helpful. She made us feel welcome and we would like to stay again.

There is no pool.

Good for a very simple motel stay. More personal/unique than a La Quinta or Days Inn, but attention to detail lackin

Comfy bed, nice updated decor, plenty of space and they had free breakfast which was very nice.

Unfortunately there were no full size towels in my bathroom and all of the body wash/ shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. I didn’t realize this until I was actually in the shower which super inconvenient. There were also long hairs around my sink that weren’t mine. I just felt like the attention to detail was lacking.

Very good

Location was a plus I was coming into Colorado and didn't want to go into Grand Junction.

I was leaving in the morning and the room next to me was smoking pot 🫤🤭

Perfect spot to stay for Capitol Reef.

The room was very large. they have renovated the rooms since the last time I was there. I had requested a room on the first floor and they were able to accommodate that. The restaurant was good for dinner. The free breakfast was pretty good too.

The beds were VERY comfortable!!! Newly remodeled with lovely decor. Conveniently located next to the Interstate. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful room

Very clean and well-renovated room with fridge, microwave ans coffee maker. Was able to self check in after hours by being texted a code. Would enjoy staying there again. Close to downtown area.

Reno work still going on, but hey, thats how to get it completed

Adequate for traveling but expensive for what accommodations offered

Cleanliness and comfortable bed . Bathroom well designed for size

Media programming on Direct tv was limited. Air conditioning noisy. Acoustics difficult for listening .

The property is clean and well maintained. The overall atmosphere is modern and trendy. Really impressed from the beginning. Also loved the easy check in process.

Rock solid balance of amenities and value

Friendly owners, great value, well done renovation

Freshly updated with new ownership (young family bought it from the previous owners who had been there quite awhile). Always love the location (easy walk to downtown) and the remodel has spruced it up nicely. Refreshing to stay in a family run motel!

Comfortable motel with good access to outdoor recreation in the area

This has been my go to hotel in Fruita for several years. always affordable and decent location close to downtown. They recently renovated the rooms and are very comfortable.

We will definitely be coming back to Fruita and will absolutely stay at the Balanced Rock Inn.

BRI is close to the interstate, a grocery store and a CVS. The hotel is within a mile of a great dinosaur museum and a mile from Colorado National Monument. Libby (manager) is fantastic and helped us celebrate our 9yo’s b-day.

I wish we could have stayed longer!
