This is a very convenient location if you are visiting Kernville for e.g. fishing, or hiking. The facility is simple, but in its simplicity it had everything one needs to comfortably stay in the mountains: very good wifi, in place where there is no phone service, each room has a small kitchen - restaurants are somewhat far (though I loved visiting the Stakehouse about 5 miles above the lodge), and there is no food service near bye, so cooking for self is what many would prefer, having water in the fridge, coffee and tea with simple but very practical appliances and kitchenette is very nice addition, grills of various kind are also available, with nice tables and chairs arranged for visitors. It is right in the middle of the "forest" and river could be heard running under the window... When I think of Kernville, I immediately think of Corral Creek Lodge:)) Highly recommend - forgot to mention - nice shower, comfy beds, very clean...
Nothing I could think of

It was very nice, room was comfortable and clean. The staff was bubbly and approachable. The grounds were clean and well kept.

I was pleased to find a full kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator, as well as a little dining table. There was a nice common area with lots of seating and grills. There was a large camping area across the street. Rooms have real keys!
No breakfast provided or a place to get breakfast or buy groceries. The office was a little chaotic and messy.
