About this cabin rental
Authentic log cabin set in the picturesque Allen valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty,offering a stunning holiday location and views for miles. Perfect for families, friends or couples wishing to enjoy a peaceful romantic break, each cabin has been finished to a very high standard and offers practical facilities, as well as the touches of a private balcony and hot tub. They are well-designed for less able guests too, with the accommodation being on one level and the rooms are spacious, airy and light. The kitchen and living room is open-plan and has fabulous views that looks right across the countryside. The property has a twin and a double bedroom. The shower room has been well-finished with a large shower cubicle that is wheelchair accessible.
Gas central heating, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, small table top freezer. Bed linen and towels included. Travel cot, High chair, shower commode chair available on request. 40" Freesat TV. DVD. Shared laundry room with washing machine. Wi-fi. Balcony with sitting-out area and hot tub. Shared 20-acre grounds with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Stabling and paddock by arrangement. No smoking. NB: Fenced pond in grounds.

If you are looking for peace and tranquility with stunning views in the middle of nowhere then this is the place. Hexham is about 30 minutes away, and Newcastle about an hour and stunning little villages dotted all around and the moors of Northumberland about 20 minutes away and the four of the areas famous castles within 75 minutes. If you are not used to rural driving beware, Roads are often single lane, with steep hills and very sharp bends and often slow moving farm machinery just around the corner! The log cabin has everything you need including an outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Don't expect high end designer fixutes and fittings - Its a log cabin but everything is functional clean and in working order ( Although the kitcken is fully fitted and modern ) People with disabilities are also fully catered for. It is probably worth taking your food with you as while there is a shop in the village it is a small one, big supermarkets are to be found in either Hexham, Carlile or Morpeth. The Host lives about 500 yards away and can be with you very quickly if required,or if you have aproblem but just lets you just do your own thing without checking on you all the time -so perfect balance really!Would I return - Absolutley

Helen is a fabulous host, she welcomed us on arrival and told us about some local walks. The cabin was lovely and the hot tub was a great way to relax after a days walking 😬

Amazing lodge in an amazing setting with the bonus of the hot tub. Owner was available at all times, nothing was a problem and couldn’t fault anything. Superb. Looking forward to re-booking.
