Very disappointing experience — strict rules for guests, little accountability from management

Just the location of the property

The manager was extremely strict and aggressive in communicating house rules, particularly regarding cleanliness, potential fines, and check-in timings. I understand that properties need rules, but the way they were communicated felt unnecessarily hostile and condescending rather than professional or welcoming. Even when the check-in information had disappeared from the messages, the manager's response when sending the details again came across as patronizing, as though asking for the information again was unreasonable. More importantly, the property was advertised as having a dishwasher, but there was none. Since cooking facilities were the primary reason we chose this property, having to manually wash dishes after every meal before preparing the next one was a genuine inconvenience during our stay. When I raised this issue, the manager acknowledged in writing that the listing should have been updated. However, correcting the listing afterward does nothing to resolve the inconvenience experienced by guests who had already booked based on that information. I contacted the manager to request reasonable compensation and gave him an opportunity to resolve the matter directly and he has not even bothered to respond. What disappointed me most was the double standard: guests are expected to follow every rule strictly, with fines emphasized, while management showed little accountability when its own listing was inaccurate. A simple acknowledgment and a reasonable attempt to resolve the issue would have made a difference. I would not recommend this property to anyone who values respectful communication, accurate listings, and a manager who takes responsibility when something goes wrong.

I wanted to enjoy my stay but...

It was central to DC. Shops & Metro are close by.

Everything else. The AC wasnt working when we arrived. They organised window units which help somewhat but was incredibly loud especially when travelling with a 9 month old. I even had to spend $37 to buy a fan which im yet to get refunded. The WIFI was also non-existent. It never worked after mentioning it multiple times. Promises were made for some sort of refund but im still waiting with no communication. Its sad because I dont usually complain but the way this was handled it totally unacceptable. I know these things can happen but the way you handle them really show if you care about your guests. They do not. Youre better off looking elsewhere.
