Garden of the Gods Motel

Friendly staff, good location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent coffee and a good value for the money. It is an older motel but has been kept up to date and gives a bit of a feeling of nostalgia to anyone who visited the area years ago. We would stay here again.

A/C is a window unit mounted above the mirror over the sink. The mirror is lower as a result so you may have to bend your legs a bit to see but there is a full length mirror on the wall. The A/C could not be set to stay on constantly even at the lowest temp setting so the room was not as cool as we would have liked. It cycled off and on but temp never was uncomfortable. The door to the toilet and tub/shower sticks so it makes a noise every time you open or shut it. The bed was closer to the sink/bathroom area than we would have liked but it was not a problem. Not really serious issues but just things you accept as part of its nostalgic charm.

Great location, clean, comfortable

A bit noisy due to traffic but earplugs will do the trick if you are a light sleeper.

Hospitality, location, room , convenience to the Stage Stop cantina across the street for meals & vibe was all Great! The owner Steve was very nice & met all my needs!

No breakfast- not even a coffee maker in the room. The a/c unit was very loud.

A coffee maker in the room and a quieter a/c unit would have been nice.
