Basecamp Tahoe City

Location, good value, quiet, clean.

Carpet could use a good shampoo. Extra blanket had two large holes.

Location was good, staff friendly and helpful both on arrival and via phone. Room size was good. Bed pretty comfy too. Great atmosphere in the lobby/bar area. Pet friendly with a reasonable price for pet fee, not much offerd for the pet though.

These are just observations, nothing horrendous…..No microwave in the room. Unable to locate the instructions or remote for the split HEATER/AC (we were advised they were on or near the mirror, we never found them).Made do with the portable fan heater that was in the room as it was chilly on arrival. Blinds didn’t close well due to positioning of portable AC unit outside venting pipe. The motion sensor light for the bathroom we couldn’t turn off, so when one got up in the middle of the night you wake your partner with the ‘floodlights' turning on. Top sheet of bed for a king size bed could do with being a bit longer on the sides, one would turn over and get a chilly backside 😂…Lastly the steps (and there are a few near each room as the property is on a slope) could do with better markings etc. or some sort of lighting when used at dark or in the early hours if your pup alerts to an outside need. I almost missed one step completely and my dog actually fell off one of them as she didn’t see it at all. Could be a liability?

Great accommodation. Easy to find and just perfect and clean

Pet friendly, late check out at 1 no extra fee.

Overall: Stay was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families. What I liked: Pet-friendly hotel and late checkout at 1 PM with no extra charge.
