Comfort Suites Airport South

Our room was a great set up. We really loved the separation of the beds into a semi private situation. Beds were comfortable. 2 air conditioners!! we were nice and comfy, temperature wise. Breakfast was great. Coffee was delicious. Monroe is who we dealt with when we checked in, as well as through some other issues. . He was perfect. Monroe needs to be the staff trainer. His customer skills were on point. This hotel was overall (even with the things I will write in "didn't like") a fabulous place to stay. Overall, clean, comfortable and safe. Safety was a big issue for us, as we had a small fortune in photographic equipment with us. (she is a photographer. We were here in Montgomery at the Coliseum, at a horse event, taking pictures of the contestants) We left the property each morning by 630 ish and didn't return each night until about 930 or later. Not once, did we feel unsafe or threatened. That was worth all the trouble we encountered. I read many many reviews at other hotels around town. Most were not so good. This Comfort Suites Airport South hotel was just fine for our needs. Do not be afraid to book here. Overall ... good.

There was a small bug in my daughters bed on the pillow. IT WAS NOT A BEDBUG. Just some little tiny bug. but she flipped. she went on a room inspection while i went downstairs with said pillow and bug. Monroe was appalled at the situation and immediately wanted to move us to another room. we liked the room we had so I declined that offer. He got us a fresh pillow. No worries, right? WHEN I got back to the room, my daughter had found hair (dog or cat, maybe) all over the bed covers on her bed (one closest to the door) and under the bed. Under the beds was also VERY dusty. The comforter also looked to be dirty on the edge, with makeup. I took that whole bundle of linens down stairs to Monroe. He could not believe it. lol. He again wanted to change our room but I declined again, bc he did not have another private suite room available. Overall, things were ok. Monroe got me a new linen set up. I went upstairs and we remade her bed. all was good. We then went to the pool. The skimmer didn't seem to be running but there was a guy swimming in it. We noted there was some grass debris and tiny pieces of styrofoam on the surface but I got in any way. The water smelled ok. It was fine. Later (next day) we learned the pool was not actually "open" the day before due to some maintenance issues. We did go down and look at it this day and it looked inviting and clean. Too bad we did not get back to the property early enough to enjoy the pool. pool hours should not even be limited. Ignorant behavior should be. (if you want to enjoy the pool don't act ignorant!) we got back to the property on Friday night. popped some food in the microwave. MICROWAVE didn't work. got another one. It didn't work either. got another one on Saturday. It did work. I am not mad about the things: bug, dirty linen, dirty pool and 2 broken microwaves, because of how those issues were handled and quickly corrected.. I would be happy with a partial refund.

Convenience. Weird thing was we found ourselves locked IN OUR ROOM! But the staff was immediately helpful, and call the locksmith for repairs, as well as rescuing us!

I don’t have specific memories, except that we are finding places SO expensive. Also the king bed was too tall for me to sleep in it. Slept in a chair.

Location is good ,beds were comfortable.

Maintenance around the building was terrible… An outside flood lightbulb was in the desk lamp and didn’t work. Toilet, constantly running obviously not maintained. Wallpaper wall falling off the wall walls in the hallway. Staff not friendly… Five day stay no room change of sheets… Was told to put th the towels and trash outside the door, never brought towels to the room.
