Beacon Hermitage

The rooms feature so much art work yet everything is comfortably spaced so you feel immersed but not overwhelmed. The breakfast frittata at breakfast great. I would stay at least 2 nights in the future to hike and explore the watering hole.

I love everything about this place. Beautiful home, with a lot of amazing art work. Beautiful garden, I enjoyed seating there surrounded with amazing flowers and plants. And most amazing was those two wonderful, wonderful hosts. Jim and Joe made me feel so welcome, so comfortable, it was like I was home. I didn't wanna leave.. . I'm coming back probably in October.

We had a wonderful stay at the Beacon Hermitage. There are many helpful, positive reviews for this location, so we won't re-state them all. Of course the stay was nice, but the real gems are Jim, Joe, and their dogs! Our favorite part of the stay was getting to chat with them. They are lovely, interesting people. As with anywhere you go in the world, when you bring good energy and are considerate of the fact that you are entering someone's home and sharing a space with others, you attract good energy! Easy check-in, excellent location, comfortable room, completely reasonable norms, delicious breakfast with plenty of options, cute home, gorgeous grounds.

The garden is beautiful, with a hidden stream. The home is beautifully furnished. The host apologized profusely and immediately refunded our stay after we mentioned the mothball smell. (We left early and did not stay the night).

Upon walking in the front door, we immediately noticed the strong smell of mothballs. The host said they put down the mothballs to get rid of the snakes? Really disappointing, because we were looking forward to staying at such a lovely place!
