Not bland like a hotel chain property. Unique grounds and style. Room size, bed, vanity and shower all very good. Continental breakfast had plenty to offer and allowed us to get on our way quickly.
Bed pillows were just too thick for comfort. Room heater and fan were noisy. We turned them off and slept fine, not cold even when night temperature dipped into 30's.

The location was great. Out of town but close enough to drive for dinner etc. The room was huge, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was fine with great smelling spa products.
The worst thing was the breakfast. Possibly the saddest breakfast I have had in any hotel ever. It was in the basement/conference room, no member of staff was present. Pastries were stale. There was no warm food at all. The boiled eggs were impossible to peel. We were on a road trip and I was looking forward to a relaxed breakfast in a spa hotel. This was not what I expected at all. The TVs in the rooms had random channels with no ability to stream from Netflix etc. Again, this is now a basic hotel requirement so that was disappointing. Cleaning staff need to check the sinks. Under the rim was full of mold.

The staff was great and very accommodating. The grounds and the view were amazing. The breakfast was ok.
The air conditioning in our room was broken on a 90 degree day and they were fully booked so we could not switch rooms. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room and for being a paid breakfast was not the greatest.
