Definitely will not be returning, all guests check bedding protectors beforehand

The House was quite spacious, with a good sized Garden, the kitchen had all the equipment one would want, the lounge and furnishings were comfortable with a big TV.

On the day of departure there’s notices in all bedrooms to strip the beds, upon stripping both beds in the twin room we stayed in I was absolutely shocked to find that one of the duvets disgustingly stained with various different old stains and marks the pillow protectors also stained and the mattress protector on the other bed was also very discoloured, if I had of seen this before I most definitely would not have stayed on such badly stained bedding, also the conservatory windows could have done with a clean, when we did sit in the conservatory on occasions there was a barking dog next door in the garden so we ended up retreating to the lounge to escape the loud barking, I did contact the owner privately on our return regarding the filthy under bedding, I do know for sure that they did receive my email, but have chosen not to reply even to say they will look into this and thanks for making us aware, as previous holiday let owners ourselves this is definitely not how to treat guests.

Exceptional

Located in a lovely village. A fully equipped, new fitted kitchen. It was lovely to relax in the conservatory on the comfortable sofas after a busy day walking. The TV in the lounge has a Fire stick so you can use Netflix, Prime etc. Fast WiFi. Great location for hiking. A washing machine with powder to use came in handy. The house was spotlessly clean. A lovely welcome pack waiting for us.

Good quiet location with comfy beds and lots of useful cooking pots/pans etc. Great walks around the

Lovely snacks left and washing clothes/dishwasher tablets. Everything done to the best.

The bathrooms were oldish so could do with upgrading. However, The shower was good.

All the facilities you would hope for and some I never expect (teacosy!!) In a great location

Very minor point but would have been good to know where the glass recycling was, but the house keeper let us know

Carrick House was an ideal place to stay with every little comfort anticipated and supplied.

Extremely well equipped and comfortable self catering house in a beautiful village amid outstanding scenery.

Only informed dog could not stay alone in house on arrival. This information could have been available at time of booking and arrangement made for dog elsewhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, excellent time had by everyone.

Very clean, pleasant and thoughtfully laid out, beautifuly decorated. Well provided with essentials. Really good location in centre of Kingussie and a very interesting history to the cottage.

Minor niggles that didn't impinge on our enjoyment at all: The lock box was very difficult to open. And the back door was very difficult to lock and unlock requiring a nack. Mattress in small room not so comfy.

excellent house

Carrick house is really well thought out. it had everything we needed to enjoy being in the house. lovely white towels, loads of kitchen equipment, high quality comfortable sofas, good WiFi, hive controlled heating, comfortable bedding, extra heaters, conservatory etc etc etc etc. It even had a dog bowl and golf clubs. I was pleasantly surprised to find it had 2 bathrooms - I hadn’t read the spec properly.

the queen size bed was a little bit small for us.

Lovely clean, well equipped house. Great location for hillwalking, cycling and exploring the surrounding picturesque villages and beautiful beaches. The house, especially the conservatory, was just the job for relaxing after an active day.

Perfect holiday home in ideal location

Comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean house. Convenient location within walking distance of shops, footpaths and station, but also very peaceful. Safe enclosed garden for dog. Well-equipped kitchen.

Lovely house

The house was very spacious. It was clean with clear covid instructions and hand sanitizer in entrance hall. It was very well equipped and they had thought of everything. It was very comfortable and we loved spending time in the house in the evenings. Sun room was lovely and the house was lovely. Internet/WiFi very fast and multiple devices had no issues at all.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Great stay in lovely house! We will be back!

The house was bigger than expected and felt very spacious. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. It was clean and felt safe, with clear covid instructions and hand sanitizer in entrance hall. It was very well equipped and they had thought of everything! Even a cheese knife! This came in handy after our visit to the local cheese shop! It was very comfortable and we loved spending time in the house in the evenings. Sun room was lovely and the house was cosy. Garden a sun trap so nice to sit out in evenings with a cold glass of something. Neighbours were nice and friendly. It’s a great location and a short walk to local amenities. Internet/WiFi very fast and multiple devices had no issues at all.

The blinds in the bedrooms let in too much light. One of our children could not get to sleep. Another was up at 4.30!. We solved this on night 2 by putting towels/blankets over the blinds. Maybe an upgrade to black out blinds would be great! We found a mask that was not ours while stripping the bed on departure. The bed sheets were clean on arrival so I can only assume the mask had been mixed in with the laundry by mistake and not noticed by cleaner. Otherwise a perfect stay!

Carrick House is a gem! We loved our stay! The house was spotlessly clean - which was so reassuring in these times. There was a clear checklist showing extra Covid cleaning that was done before our stay. The house had every comfort - the owners are very considerate of their guests’ every possible need. The weather during our stay was quite wet and dreary but we loved relaxing in the conservatory during the day, then retiring to the cosy living room at night. We had a very relaxing stay and will definitely be returning to Carrick House! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Wild swimming in the Cairngorms

It was roomy, clean and comfortable so well equipped we just needed our food. Great outdoor space with washing line for drying our wetsuits. Brilliant.
