Central location, comfortable, appreciated flexibility on check-in/out.
Perfectly central location. Host was helpful with pre-communication eg flexible on check-ins/outs where no conflicts. Like other reviews warn, the place is tired eg porch soft boards, but it is charming home. Cosy, comfortable bedrooms on busy road (even overnight) so if noise bothers you this isn't for you and parking is little harder during day when workers have taken the better spots, but is fine overnight. Bathrooms clean, rear kitchen/backyard is calming, heating good (use the central ducted in the hallway, not the broken kitchen split system). Minimal kitchen things, so if bringing a family you might need to buy couple things to cook a full meal eg roasting pan.
I did like my stay, but owner ignores requests to provide a tax invoice, even with AirBNB reminding them of their legal obligation, messages, texts, and many weeks of patience. So this has really tainted things given the travel was necessary, but meant to be reimbursed, except their lack of compliance has now cost me hundreds of dollars during a period of intense financial stress.

Location was great, I actually didn’t realise how close it is to the shops.
Should have taken our own pillows, the ones provided were worn out and provided no support. There were a few cobwebs and spider in the lounge and shower needed a bit of a scrub, but it wasn’t a major thing for us, we would stay here again no hesitation.

This a very cute historical cottage. We were warm and cosy. The decor is nice and kitchen spacious and well equipped. There is a big bathtub if you want a good soak. Plenty of soap, shampoo, towels etc. An easy walk into the centre of town. Parking is okay.
The noise from the traffic is quite loud and is not great for sleeping. I had to use earplugs. My partner slept on the lounge sofa to escape the noise hence the lower score for comfort
