Well appointed home without being ostentatious (we are not fancy folk), this place had everything we needed to relax and play during our weeklong summer visit. We were especially appreciative of the kitchen set up - it had nearly every type of pan and utensil we needed to cook our from-scratch and varied meals for the week. The main floor bathroom features the strongest flowing shower head we've ever used, perfect for quickly and soothingly removing all the dust and grime we accumulated on our daily outings.
The view from the deck of the home is amazing: facing a higher altitude mountain meadow in the middle of the gobsmackingly beautiful Dixie National Forest, one could sit for hours (if so inclined) watching pronghorn frolic, listening to various birds, and seeing chipmunks ever scampering around. At night from the cabin deck, one can see so many stars and constellations (very little light pollution in the neighborhood).
The location of the home is the perfect ground base for visiting all of the wonders in southwest Utah. An achingly nice and cool respite from the heat of the desert, this mountain retreat is a stellar place to stay.
The home was very clean and in good repair. While some city folks may be a bit hesitant to drive their fancy cars on the gravel access roads to the neighborhood, we found it easy to access.a.d the roads well maintained.
If you do book here, we highly recommend you traverse farther down the road and check out Strawberry Point. The view from that look out is the most amazing one I've driven to in the United States. Even with wildfire smoke in the air, we felt we could see practically to Arizona from Strawberry Point. Jaw droppingly amazing.
No close shopping to the cabin, but the drive down the mountain to Cedar City for the closest proper grocery store is so gorgeous and well worth the jaunt.
We did not use a UTV while at the cabin, but in the village are many purveyors from which to rent if you're so inclined.
I didn't want to leave. Everything in and near the property was amazing.

The location was great and the cabin was very quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed. The front porch was nice and we enjoyed using the barbecue.
It got rather warm in the late afternoon and evening since there was no air conditioning.
