The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early but we were able to receive our parking pass, park, and head to the beach for a while. They called when our room was ready which was a little earlier than expected. After check in, we enjoyed the pool for a little while, which maybe could have used a little skim but nothing major. ( It was later in the day) It's an older style hotel with updated rooms. Beds were comfortable. And the room was clean. Parking is tight, but doable. As with all hotels down there. There were many Pickup and SUV type vehicles parked there, so it is possible, just tight. We got such a great spot that we didn't want to move so we walked to the boardwalk. The hotel is a few blocks after the end of the boardwalk but it was an easy walk. We felt comfortable and safe walking it back to the hotel at night with a 4 year old. Check in and out was easy. They use real keys, not key cards. There's 1 elevator and 1 flight of stairs.
I could not plug in my electric water kettle. It's a 3 prong plug and every outlet I tried only had 2 prong usage. So I just ran water through the included coffee maker and used the instant coffee I brought. Also the toilet was small. It felt like just a residential toilet, not a hotel toilet.

Blinds should be switched to curtains or something that blocks light better. Really hard to sleep with so much light in the room. Tv is direct tv and only a few channels and really fuzzy reception.
