Wow, I chose so well to stay at Mat-Su Resort! Only 12 large rooms, all facing the lake. Very comfortable bed, linens and room. They have free kayaks to borrow for guests...onsite!! Great restaurant and bar. We happened there on a Tuesday, so had live music, it was so fun! Staff was terrific, very responsive and accommodating. Only 1 hour to ANC, so easy to be in beautiful area and miss the big city feel. My only disappointment was that we didn't stay more than 1 night. I wish we'd stayed at least 2-3.

Location was good, close to most things I wanted to visit.

Room was not very clean. The floor could use a good vacuuming and mopping. The patio was also dirty with over grown weeds. When they finally cut the grass, the patio was covered with grass clippings.
